               What We're All About

Mary Green is a long time animal lover.  She has worked with Rescue and training for many years.  As a downsized techie, she took a lifetime hobby and turned it to a career.  Auntie Mary was born.

Hugs N Cuddles was formed in 2004 to answer a need in So. Fulton County, Ga.  After many years of quietly being ignored, The Camp Creek area of So. Fulton county began to explode with growth.   There were limited facilities for animal care and many new families arriving weekly.  We started slowly, part time, and continued to grow.  Incorporating in  July 2007, and going full time that fall.
The Spring of 2010 sees us moving the office to SW Atlanta and the focus is on SW Atlanta.

Hugs N Cuddles is a former member of the Ga. Network of Professional Petsitters - GNPP, and Mary has served on it's Administrative Board as Secretary.

For the last 5 years Mary has pursued a career as a Dog Trainer and has taken several dogs to Obedience Titles including
her Pound Puppy, Simon,  now known as Scott's Sir Simon of Dumfermline, CGC, TDI.

In 2010, Shelby joined us.  She is a silly billy who's only reason for being here is making us laugh.  She defines doggy AD
HD, but is a joy to be around.    The Border Collie in her may lead to herding.

Mary is also the owner of the  Furkid Academy, a dog training school,  in Atlanta, Ga   She teaches Puppy thru Advanced Obedience classes and donates classes to the local Dachshund rescue, Angels with Paws.

Mary's specialty is working with Deaf Dogs.  As a member of Deaf Dogs.org, she works to rehab deaf animals by teaching them 'Sign Language' and their parents to keep up.  Her first deafie, Buddy, passed over the Rainbow Bridge in 2004.

Her other passion is the Big Ones.  Pits, Rotties, Mastiffs, Newfies.  EbonyOnxyVonChen passed over the Bridge in 2002.

Mary maintains her skill level by taking continuing education classes.  In 2007 she became certified in Animal First Aid and CPR.  Care of Senior Animals in Spring 2008, Farm animal husbandry through a barter program and Cesar Milan Seminar.  2010 brought recertifications and new challenges as she works toward her Advanced Trainer certification.

KELLY COTTINGHAM also joined us in 2008.  She is an elementary school teacher who calls Fairburn home.  She is owned by Archer - a Dobie, Sunny - a Cane Corso, and 5 cats.  Kelly is a relief person in the Fairburn area.
